More Than A Home

Enjoy Comfort & Peace of Mind At Glenbrook Rest Home

Glenbrook Rest Home was established with 12 beds in a large Lockwood style house.
In 1997, an additional wing was built on, with a new ten room wing added in 2013.

Any of the double rooms were converted to preferred single rooms and the total bed number increased to 22.

All rooms have a basin with hot / cold water and residents are kept cosy with their in room electric heaters. The ten new rooms are spaciously laid out and include toilet ensuite and a 31" TV.

Our residents have two separate lounges to enjoy, depending on where their mood takes them. One lounge has a TV and here you can make the most of the social environment joining in activities such as indoor bowls, bingo, and singalongs. It's completely up to
you whether you join in or not. The ranch slider gives access to a large sunny deck for some space and fresh air.

If you'd rather read a book in peace or sit and rest then we have our second lounge set up for just this. Quiet games such as Scrabble can also be enjoyed here in the afternoon.

Residents enjoy our nutritiously delicious home cooked meals in our friendly open dining room overlooking our little taste of farmyard living. Our much loved pigs Glen and Brook, along with our hens, reside out here providing endless fun and entertainment for both residents and staff alike.

Visitors are more than welcome to take a stroll around our grounds, enjoying the peaceful native bush, and our staff are always available to catch up and discuss any concerns or queries in our quietly relaxing environment.
